CLASS DESCRIPTIONS

ASHTANGA REMIX

Tracy Keenan has developed her signature style fusing classical Ashtanga with her creative and strong sequencing. Prepare to practice Sun Salutations and well as flowing between functional, strengthening and lengthening poses. This class will challenge, invigorate and take your practice to the next level.

GENTLE YOGA

This class is geared to those who are looking for a more relaxed class with softer, slower paced, well-supported movements. Gentle yoga seeks to offer therapeutic modifications and alternatives to traditional yoga poses. The classes are designed to support mental, physical and spiritual needs in a nurturing vibration.

VINYASA FLOW

“Vinyasa” translates to linking breath to movement. Therefore, in this dynamic style of Hatha yoga, the student will be led on a series of asanas (physical postures) that are linked and timed rhytmically to each inhale and exhale. There is a pace to these classes, although some can move slower and/or faster than others depending on teacher and level.

AROMA FLOW

With essential oils to clear and cleanse body, mind and spirit and enhance mood and tone, this class incorporates a traditional Vinyasa Flow style with the added elements of essential oils and sensory awareness.

FLOW AND RESTORE

This class will fuse both Vinyasa Flow and Restorative in a single class. You will begin the first part of the class linking breath to movement, and the latter part unwinding, relaxing and holding deeply therapeutic poses.

SLOW FLOW

This Vinyasa Flow class will take you on a rhythmic journey that is both slow and deep allowing you to move your body in flow but also take your time in exploring each pose. Although the class moves slow, it is not necessarily gentle. In fact, sometimes moving slower can be even more challenging testing balance, strength and building endurance.

YIN YOGA

This style usually consists of a series of long-held, passive floor poses which target both the deep connective tissues between the muscles, and the fascia throughout the body. The aim is to increase circulation in the joints and improve flexibility as the poses stretch and exercise the bone and joint areas. With roots in chinese medicine, the poses also assist in regulating the body's flow of energy through “qi'“ by activating specific meridians. The poses are usually held between 3-5 minutes each.

YINSTORATIVE

A slow paced, meditative and deeply relaxing class. Beginning with 30 minutes of nourishing yin poses and followed by 30 minutes of supported restorative yoga poses. Designed to ease tension in your body and mind.

FUNCTIONAL FLOW

Is a dynamic and creative class that breaks down classical Yoga Asanas in a fun and challenging way.

This mobility based class will bring more awareness, balance and wholeness to body and mind. Learn how to make everyday movements easier and become stronger in your asana and breath work practice.

POWER VINYASA

This Powerful Vinyasa Flow class is designed for students looking to build strength, sweat out toxins and experience a challenging and vigorous flow class.

MINDFULNESS IN MOTION

A bowspring inspired alignment flow for beginner and intermediate students. The perfect speed and temperature for everyone to feel welcome, held, and moved.

RESTORATIVE

Is a gentle, slow, almost still style that involves long, passive holds in a series of 4-6 restful poses. Yogis are often supported by props to enhance or deepen their experience and achieve a state of total relaxation and release.

YOGA NIDRA

Yoga nidra is a sleep-based guided meditation offering effortless disengagement from over-thinking or anxious mental states where we enter a space between waking and sleeping. This is the most relaxing and easiest form of meditation you will find! Yoga nidra is practiced while lying down with eyes closed. Body, breath, and awareness techniques are used to facilitate deep relaxation.  Yoga nidra allows the body to restore itself, balancing excess stress and supports the prevention of stress-related disease at the root. Yoga Nidra effects shifts from the state of meditation with the use of intention.
